My Hubby is 30!

Today is Troy's 30th Birthday!! I know, he's old! :) I've been teasing him this past year that he can no longer claim he is in his twenties!

He is awesome! He is the best Daddy in the world. The kind that works so hard to give his kids everything they need and most of what they want. The kind of Daddy that our kids are so happy when he comes home from work. He is a hard worker that wakes by 3:30-4:00 every morning and never complains. He loves his profession, even though, it's very physically/mentally demanding. He is a great friend that is always there to help when you need it. He is a great hubby that supports/supported me in all I do and have done whether it was school, work, and being a SAHM.

We love you Daddy and wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

For Sale

For a few months, we have been trying to sale our truck. The main reason is because diesel was almost $5 a gallon in the summer and Troy never knows where he will work and for how long. So we decided that we really want to get this sold to have some money to pay off debt and have in savings. We no longer have the need for it, even though, it's a gorgeous and awesome truck.

I was wondering if any of you have any one that may be in the market to let them know about our truck and I hope maybe someone will come across this post. We have it listed on Autotrader.com, Craigslist, and KSL.com. Let me know!

Please keep us in your prayers that we may soon have a buyer! Thanks!!

Landon is 10 months!!

Landon turned 10 months on the 2oth!! Crazy!! Two more months and my baby is a year old. It seems like yesterday, he was growing in my belly :)

He is such a sweet boy! He still loves to cuddle(so I'm soaking that up), he is doing the "army man" crawl, pulls himself up onto things, loves big people food and gets mad if you don't give it to him, he loves to follow Kaedie around, is so good to sit and play on the floor, and has a really load happy scream. He has 5 teeth and is working on his 6th. He sleeps until 4:30 or 5, I know he can go longer, but I hate hearing him cry, so I cave. Plus, he may be my last!

We love him and can't imagine our family without his cute face!

This is the smile he gives when you tell him "cheese"...how cute is he?

7 Years!

Yesterday, Troy and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary!

Crazy to think that it's been that long. Time has gone fast some years and not so fast some others. We had a good night spent with the kids and then we snuggled up to watch a movie before bed. We plan to go out this weekend to celebrate without the kids. :)

I have an awesome hubby who works so hard for our family so that we don't want for anything. We have been blessed with two gorgeous and healthy kids, a happy doggie, a beautiful home and each other. Marriage is definitely not the easiest road to travel, but so far, these last 7 have been great! I love you Troy and thank you for being my husband!

Success at the Grocery Store

You can see from my sidebar and description that I love to save money and score on good deals. Where ever I go, I look for the best deal and use what ever means I have to save our family money. I tell my hubby that this is my way of contributing financially to our family since I don't bring home a paycheck. I get so excited when I save us money especially at the grocery store.

For awhile, I've been using coupons pretty religiously. So, this week, using this awesome website (Shop Smart in Vegas) click on my sidebar for the link, I used my coupons and store ad to save big at Albertsons. I should have took a picture but I forgot and already but them away. I will share my savings:

On Monday night, I went to Albertsons and bought everyday household items including Tide, Dawn Dish soap, Kaedie's Shampoo, Yogurt, just to name a few. My total before check out was close to $90. With the combined sale and my coupons, I spent $60. Then, I got vouchers for my next trip worth $15.

On Tuesday, again with my list in hand and coupons, I went back and spent over $100 but with the sale, my coupons, and credit vouchers, I spent $41!! That was a savings of $57!! How awesome!!

Today, with a new sale ad, my list and coupons, I went back and spent $54 and saved us $48!! That included a ton of baby food, plus Buy One get One Free deals that I had coupons for. All my items, besides one, were on sale and I had a coupon! The cashier (super nice lady) was so impressed and cheered me on! I held up the line a little and the guy behind me seemed annoyed, I apologized, but when you live on one income and you can save money, who cares! I don't mind when someone in front of me has coupons. It just shows their smart! :)

So my moral to this post, is that I'm a believer of sales and coupons. Yes it takes alittle time to collect the coupons, compare sales, and go to the store, but it's so worth it! It has blessed our lives in just he few short months I've been doing it.

I'm having a class on Feb. 4th @ 7pm and I'm so excited to learn even more ways to save and I'm inviting any of those of you reading this to come! I will be sending evites to those I have email addresses for, but I would love for all of you to come! Let me know! I will post more info the week prior to the class.

Nice Day at the Park

We have had the best weather here this past week. It's been in the mid to upper 60's!! This is the time of year that I love Vegas! When you here and see all the cold and snow else where, I love to look out and see the sun shining and know that you don't need to bundle up to go out.

A friend of mine and her girls (one of Kaedie's friend from our ward) decided to take advantage of the nice day yesterday and let the kids play at the park. It was so nice to get out of the house and enjoy some sun. It was fun! Kaedance had a melt down before we left which made it difficult, she has had them a lot lately. She sometimes acts like a 2 year old versus a 4 1/2 year old! I hope it's a phase and she soon realizes that she is a big girl and about to go to Kindergarten. Until that day comes, I just have to tell myself that they all have their moments! As far as Landon goes, he loved the swings and loves to watch the girls run around. He had fun!

Happy 2009!

We had a great New Year Weekend. We were able to go home to Utah and visit our family and friends. The weather was nice for the drive just super cold and they had a ton of snow. Kaedance loved it! My parents gave her a sled so Troy and my Dad took her to the park and she went sledding. Troy and her also made a cute snowman in my parents backyard.

It was nice to be home and be with our loved ones. When I'm there, it makes me realize how much I would love to move there. Who knows, it could happen! :) When we got home, I called my Mom to tell her we arrived back to Vegas safely. She told me I had forgotten some things. Major stuff I spaced to pack like my camera, blow dryer ( I have a back up thank goodness), and a new jacket of mine. I was so mad at myself! Luckily, my cute Daddy is shipping it. When it gets here, I will post some pics of the weekend.

I can't get over that 2009 is here! I have so much to be thankful for. Including: My kids, my Hubby, my family and friends, my husband having a job, our home and cars, our health, and the gospel in our life's!

This year some of my resolutions include: Eating better and making time to exercise (which will hopefully result in some weight loss), having a better relationship with my hubby, spending more time with loved ones, trying to stress less, and finding a part-time skincare job.

I hope everyone had a great New Year! I hope to stop and take in the good in life. I need to be more of an optimist and enjoy what good I have instead of stressing on things that aren't that important in the big picture of life.
