Christmas Eve and Christmas

We had a great Christmas! Our plans to go home to Utah didn't work out. I was bummed but had a feeling that because of the forecasted weather, it was not the time to go. Luckily, we have an awesome family here in Vegas that had us over for Christmas Eve. (Thanks, Garbers! We love you!) It was great to be with them. Of course, Kaedance and Landon were spoiled from our kid gift exchange and their Gma and Gpa Garber. I enjoyed being in Vegas versus the car on Christmas Eve. Every year for the last 7 that we've been in Vegas, we've gone home. It was weird to be here, lacking a white Christmas, and not being with my parents, but it was a blessing to be around our other loved ones.

Christmas morning, we awoke to Santa's gifts under our "poor, little tree" :). He was gracious to both Kaedance and Landon. Kaedance was excited to get her new "Baby Alive" doll, Cabbage Patch mini soccer doll, and many other gifts. Not to mention all the ones from my parents at Thanksgiving, her Aunts and Uncles, and friends. My kids are spoiled and are not lacking in their Toy room! :) It was great to watch how excited Kaedance was that Santa came, ate her cookie she left him, and help her brother open his presents. So fun to have two kids now to watch!! After enjoying our morning of gifts, we packed up and headed down to Kingman, AZ. to spend the day with my In Laws. It was so nice to be with them. They had a delicious dinner for us and we enjoyed spending the holiday together. Kaedance loves to play with her cousins, Avery, Cody, and Taylor. Landon also enjoyed being able to follow Taylor around the house trying to get his new "Mack" truck. I love my In Laws! My sis-in-law, Jill, was also in town and it was great to visit with her. It's nice to be close to them.

The following day, my Sis-In-Law, Cynthia, who shares my love for shopping, took me to some outlets in Laughlin and we enjoyed some peaceful shopping with just us two. We got some good deals at the Gap outlet and Bath and Body Works. I was able to find a sweater for Kaedance to wear to Church on Sunday with her cute skirt that Cynthia bought her for Christmas. (Notice the pictures of my kids in their Christmas Sunday Attire :) )

All in all, it was a great Christmas. I realized that being here can be great. I missed seeing my family and close friends, but luckily we plan to go up for New Years!! We hope everyone had an awesome Christmas and hope you have a safe and blessed New Years!

Kaedie's Christmas Ballet Recital

Since it's almost a week since Christmas, I decided to update my blog. So enjoy the next few posts about our holiday.

Last weekend, Kaedance had her 3rd Christmas Ballet Performace and she was awesome. It's amazing to see how much she has progressed. She loves ballet and dances around the house all day. Troy and I was so happy to see her progression and all the new techniques she knows. Thanks Mom Garber and Seana for coming and supporting her! It meant alot!

She is an amazing little ballerina and I really hopes she continues to love dance!

Snow in Vegas?!

We have been in Vegas almost 7 years and I've seen a little of the white stuff. Not much, it usually falls and melts fast. Today, it started around noon and has not stopped. It's really pretty and exciting for obvious reasons like we live in the desert, but it screws alot of stuff up.
When it gets like this, it means Troy doesn't work! It ruined my favorite tree in my yard that I hope grows back before summer because it gives us alot of shade, and it has delayed my Sis-In-Laws flight to come in.
Kaedance has been super excited all day watching out the window. I even let Landon watch it. It's pretty but I like to see it on my terms, like when we are home in Utah for Christmas! Snow in Vegas and this much...insane!

Santa Clause Vists LV

A couple weekends ago, we had our ward Christmas party. It was great...yummy food, good friends, and of course, Santa.

Kaedance was excited for him to come and was able to tell him what she wants for Christmas. It was great to see both my kids on the Jolly Man's lap. I'm so blessed to have two adorable kids. Next year, Landon might not be so thrilled about Santa, so I'm glad we had this year and these pics.

Bummed

Some of you may know that I did finally get that job that I interviewed back in October. Yay...right? Well, this last week I started training and it was going great until I found out that the hours they told me I would work, actually would not work with the hours of operation. Long story short, I decided that it was just not meant to be at this time and I'm not willing to sacrifice my time with my kids for a job. It's not like I "need" to work, it was just an awesome opportunity in an awesome place. I'm sad because I really wanted it to work out and I was getting to know the staff and believe in this place. I need to think positive and know that it's all how is suppose to be and that Heavenly Father has something in mind. So, I'm bummed and a little depressed. Especially when I was holding out for this job. Please keep me in your prayers and remind me that this is just a bump along the road and something will come out of it.

On the bright side, at least I know I can land an awesome job! :)

Our Poor Little Christmas Tree

On Monday, we decided to get out the Holiday decor and our tree and decorate for our FHE. I love to decorate, especially for Christmas, but my Christmas Tree is so small and I would love to buy a new, big, fat, pre-lit, but it's not in the budget. :( So, my little one will have to do for one more year and maybe I can score big on one the day after Christmas.
Here are some pictures of us and the "little/poor" tree. I guess I can't complain, I got this a few years ago at Target for like $12. I would love a real tree, but we usually go to Utah for Christmas and we figure whats the point if we can't enjoy it.

Thanksgiving 2008

Posted by Picasa
We had a great one this year. We were blessed to have an early Thanksgiving the weekend prior with the Carman bunch in Az. It was great to see my In-Laws and niece and nephews. Kaedance loves her Aunts and cousins.
For Thanksgiving we hosted my family here! We had a great time being together. My Grandmother even came! We had a great dinner, went shopping on Black Friday with my Mom, Grandma, Sister and Sis In Law, took the kids to Circus Circus, went to the Silverton/ Bass Pro Shop, exposed my Grandma to In-n-Out Burger (she had never been), got haircuts, had an early Christmas exchange (my kids were spoiled), loved watching Dray and Landon play, having Bella and Frank here for Flash and enjoyed being together.
I'm so thankful and blessed to be apart of two great families! I'm so lucky to be loved and to love them! Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day!
Here are some pics of our Thanksgiving Holiday. I'm mad that I didn't get a shot of our dinner and Turkey that I made with help from my Mom and Bro-In-Law. It was a delicious dinner!

Landon is 8 months!

Each month that my boy grows is bitter sweet. I love the baby stage and I love to be able to kiss his chubby cheeks and cuddle him as much as I can. Soon, he won't allow it as much as I like. :)

There is something about having a boy. Don't get me wrong, I love Kaedie to pieces, but that old saying is so true about "mommy's boy"...he is mine!

Here are a few new mile stones:

He can sit up for some time before falling over :)

He loves to scream...happily...to hear his voice

He loves to eat

He rolls and "army" crawls all over the house
He likes to bang toys on the floor

Landon is 8 months!

Blog Safety

One of my best friends had a post today on the safety of blogs and how to keep your privacy safe. I know some people go private with their blogs, but I don't want to have to limit my connections with people. I have connected to so many because of my blog! So, I decided to change this blogs address, so make note of it, please!

Another friend of mine, posted on her blog, some ways to keep your privacy safe. How sad that we live in a world where you can't trust people...I guess that's life! I love blogging and I will keep blogging, I just need to be a little more aware of what I post.

So, here are the suggestions on how to keep safe while blogging and a link to the story my friend had on her blog about this.

Take your last name and where you live off your blog.
Don't use middle names.
Take you last name out of your web address.
Still post birthday pictures just don't tell us the actual birthday.
Go into settings (Basic) and look for these questions and mark them NO (Add your blog to our listings?) (Let search engines find your blog?)
Go to setting (Formatting) and change the amount of post to show a fewer amount....yes they can click older post but that it is still a deterrent. You can also take your archive off so they can't scan through all your posts.

Family Pictures 2008

About a month or so ago, My talented Sis-In-Law was in town, so we had her take some pics of us for Christmas Cards/Presents. It was a cold and windy day and the sun seem to be extra bright. It's super hard to get everyone to look at the camera and to smile.

However, I think these ones are my fav and she will be touching them up in her photoshop/ doing her magic before I send them out. Wanted to put them on here since it's our first "official" family picture since we became a fam of 4!

Halloween 2008

I really can't get over the fact that Halloween has came and gone. This year really flew!

We had a great Halloween. Kaedance was 'Rosetta', one of Tinker Bell's friends and Landon was the cutest Monkey ever! Kaedance had a playgroup party on Wednesday that was fun, Thursday she had a party at Preschool and that night we had our ward Trunk or Treat. Friday, we went out to our family/friends Trunk or Treat and over to our family's house to celebrate and show off the kids. Needless to say, Kaedance got a ton of candy! I hate it, because I always find myself sneaking some. I guess that's part of the fun!

It was so fun to see Kaedance be so excited this year. She did great telling people, "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You". We look forward to Thanksgiving with our families. Kaedie helped me yesterday to decorate our house with our Thanksgiving decor. She loves to help me with that stuff. I remember being around her age and looking forward to my Mom decorating for the holidays. Makes it that more exciting!

We hope everyone had a great Halloween! It's been fun to see all the posts and pictures!

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday, we went to a Pumpkin Patch that some girls in our ward put togather at their home. They grow pumpkins in their garden and invite the kids and their families to come pick out a pumpkin. It was fun to take the kids.Kaedance picked out a baby pumpkin for her baby brother. So cute! Kaedance also decorated a cookie which she thought was so cool. It was fun!

It helped to get us into the Halloween spirit and I hope to continue to do this each year. Thanks again Carlson Family!
P.S. My kids make some silly faces in some of these pictures. They also had some rabbits that Kaedance wanted to take a picture of.

Kaedance loves PreSchool

Kaedance is still loving PreK and looks forward to going. She loves to come home and show me and Daddy her worksheets and projects. Here is a pic from Tuesday showing off her spider with 8 legs they made.

I'm so thankful to her teacher and I know that I need to be better with practicing her writing and scissors skills so that she can be fully prepared for Kindergarten.

Anyone have suggestions on how to make if fun and keep her interest?

More of My Boy

Here are some cut pics of my favorite boy, Landon that pass couple of weeks. He has got his first tooth in the bottom. When it comes uo a little more, I hope to get a pic.
Pic explanations: Troy likes to give him a faux hawk, he looks so big in his jeans and shoes, he fell asleep in his jumper one day when I was trying to keep awake a little longer, his 1st haircut( sorry I forgot to flip the pic) Thanks again Eliza!

Goodbye Old Friend...Hello Gorgeous

Yesterday, I went to turn on my computer. All was well at first, but it started to freeze on me, so I shut it down. A little while later, I went to turn it back on and all it would do is reboot its self over and over. I was lost. I have not computer technical knowledge and I was freaking out not to log into my emails, bank accounts, and blogs. I called a tech to come look at it. He thought it was the hard drive but once he opened the tower, he noticed right away that the mother board was fried! Bummer! It was going to cost almost the amount of a new one then to fix the old one. So off we went to drop more money that I was not expecting, but I can't live without a computer!

For the price of a new tower plus a little more, we got a new laptop with so much more features, memory, and power, plus, it's mobile! It's awesome and I think worth the money. The biggest down part is that many of my pics are on the hard drive of the old PC and it cost another $65 to get them off. Thank goodness for my blog because many of the pics are on here, so I will just save them to this computer. Gotta love blogs! So kinda a bad way to start the weekend, but according to the tech, we got a lot of years out of the old one. So goodbye old friend. Thanks for all your hard work...you'll be missed!

Interview done!

I had my interview yesterday! It went really well (I think). This would be an awesome place to work at and they seemed to be ok with my hours that I would be able to work. The lady who did the interview said she would call me in the next couple of weeks to set up a "hands on" interview. So wish me luck for round 2!

Thanks to all of you who sent me best luck wishes and advice! It really helped! I will keep you all posted on the next step. :)

Camping at Valley of Fire

A couple of weeks ago, Kaedance and I were watching 'John and Kate Plus 8', when they went camping in their backyard. Kaedance asked if we could go camping mostly to make S'mores and see the stars. So this past weekend we decided to go with our BFF's and their girls, out to the Valley of Fire. I've never been there and it was such a gorgeous place.

It was really hot! We picked a campground spot with a lot of shade, but it was still so hot even through the night. We made the best of it! The girls had so much fun climbing the red rocks and playing in the tents. We had roasted hot dogs and Smores for dinner and enjoyed seeing the stars in the sky since you don't see them much living in Vegas.

Camping is not my most fav activity, but it was fun to give the kids an adventure and memories that I hope they will remember. It's always fun to spend time away with your friends and enjoy the true beauty of nature. Even our dog, Flash, had a blast climbing and playing in the dirt. It was a good time!

(Here are some pics of the trip, but my camera died when I really wanted to get more shots. I hate when that happens!)

Landon...6 months

Landon is officially a half a year old! He is such an awesome baby! We are so blessed to have him in our family. He is always smiling and laughing. He has been sleeping through the nights for the past 3 months. He loves to eat...bottles or solids. He enjoys playing on the floor with his toys and LOVES his Jungle Jumper. It's his fav! He LOVES his Big Sister and is always watching her and laughs when she does something silly. He loves his dog Flash and doesn't mind all his kisses! He loves to talk and watch the world around him. He has the biggest blue eyes with the longest dark eyelashes! (Mom is jealous of them) :) I like to think he is a Mommies boy, but Troy will argue different! We just can't get enough of him!

He is definitely different in all aspects than Kaedie when she was a baby. He had his Well Check and ranks in the 50th percentile across the board. Average guy! She was always in the 75-90th. He is starting to teeth and always has his fingers in his mouth and slobber down his chin. :)

We love him so much and I know I will miss all the baby moments, but I do look forward to the bib boy he will grow to be! We truly love our little man!

Here are some pictures of him this past week.

This past weekend

We went down to Troy's brother's house in Kingman, AZ., which is about an hour and a half drive from Vegas. I love my In Laws and feel so blessed to be able to get along with them and have these ones close enough to see often.

It was our nephews 2nd Bday and it was fun to celebrate with him. He is so cute! He is so into cars and got spoiled with a ton of them. We got him a really cute "Little People" truck with a race car. He seemed to like it. He got this really cool rug that Kaedie loved, which might be something on her Christmas list ;) (I know Landon will love it when he gets a little older). Kaedance and Avery are a year apart and the only granddaughters on this side of the family. They get along great and love to play dress up together. They are adorable and gorgeous!

We were able to see Cody (the oldest) and Avery play soccer. They both did great! Troy's dad was also in town and he took some pictures of us, but it was so windy that most of them didn't come out just right. Even with his awesome camera and talent. Luckily, my Sis In Laws will be down in a few weeks, so I hope they can get some good shoots so I can have pics for Christmas cards. Troy had a blast going shooting with his Dad and brother. I enjoyed visiting with my Sis In Law... who I love! It was a great weekend and we had an awesome time with them!

P.S. Landon turned 6 months on the 20th(Saturday)! I can't believe that a half a year is over. He is too big! I'm taking in every moment I can get of him being small and cuddly. I hope to post pics of him this week too!

Happy Day

I had a really crappy day yesterday... I won't go into detail, just glad that today was better.

Landon and I went jogging and shopping when Kaedie was at PreSchool. Something about working out and spending money that brightens my mood. :) When we got home, I had a message from a Spa that I would love to work at, for an interview the first part of October! I'm so excited! Not like a really want to work, but I need to keep up my skills and have sometime for me. Plus, extra cash is always nice to have. So if you all can keep me in your prayers that the interview will go well, I would greatly appreciate it!

I will keep you all posted. Also, any tips for interviewing that would help would also be great. It's been awhile since I've been on an interview!

Like Daddy...Like Son

I was taking some pics the other night and when I was editing this one, I loved how similar my two guys look. I had to share.

Rainbows

The other day, Kaedance said to me how much she wished that she could see a rainbow. I'm sure she has seen one, but it has been awhile. I told her that she will one day and that it had to rain for rainbows to come out.

Well, like two days after our conversation, it rained and after we went outside and Kaedance about died when she saw that there was a rainbow...not just one, but two! I had to take pictures for her to remember that she has seen a rainbow. She was so happy that night!

It was really cool to see two full rainbows across the sky. It made me happy too!

Some new pictures and updates

Kaedance has been having a blast at Prek! She is so excited to go and when I pick her up, she is so excited to tell me all she did that day. This makes me happy! She started back to ballet Saturday and was so excited about that too! This is her passion and I love that she enjoys it so much!

Landon is so cute! He loves to be on the floor playing with toys. He can really roll around good and can get to one place to another fast! He loves to eat his baby food and enjoys most flavors. I was just at Target and bought a bunch of new ones for him to try. He is so much fun and one of my favorite things to do is kiss his chubby cheeks!! He will be 6 months next weekend and it makes me so sad that half a year has gone by. I'm so blessed to be with them everyday and see all that they do!

I've been losing weight pretty regularly the last couple of weeks and hope to be at my goal weight by Christmas. I'm just watching my calories and trying to workout most days. I was glad to put on some jeans today to go to Target and I had to keep pulling them up...that's always a good feeling!

Explanations for pics: Kaedance all ready for Ballet class, Landon with stickers from In-N-Out that his daddy stuck on his head, my crazy hubby, my gorgeous Kaedie, and my chubby Landon, and Kaedance "posing" before Prek.

Kaedance's 1st day of Preschool!

It's official, Kaedance is a big girl! She had her first day of Preschool and loved it! She was so excited to get ready this morning and go. I thought she would have been a little clingy when she got there, but she wasn't! She went right into class and sat in her spot. It was so neat to see her be excited about this! When I picked her back up, she was so excited to tell me all about her day and the projects she did. I was so happy to see her so excited about this!

She is going to a Preschool taught by a friend in our ward. I love her and she is awesome at this! All the kids in her class are in our ward except one, but she knew him from when we did "Joy School" this past year. There is her and one other girl. The rest are boys. She is use to being around boys because last year in "Joy School" it was her and one other girl and four boys. I actually thinks it's good for her. I can't wait to see all that she learns. I was so blessed to have been able to do a year of "Joy School" with her and I really think that helped prepare her for this year to be more independent and social and also helped prepare her for learning. Troy and I can't get over how big and how fast she is growing. Next year, it's of to Kindergarten! That will be way crazy!

Anyways...she goes twice a week and I look forward to some time with Landon and I, jogging at the park, scrapbooking, cleaning, shopping, or just playing with the two of us while she is at school. We took her to dinner tonight to celebrate her first day. Here is a picture with her "pack pack", (like she calls it) all set to go! I will do updates as the year goes on to show some of her work and what she is learning/learned.
Here is her usual "side" pose that she loves and her "cheesy" smile. I love her! :)

Update on the last few weeks

Don't be to shocked that I actually got around to posting. I promise to be better.

So the last few weeks have actually been somewhat eventful around here...usually being a SAHM, I hardly leave the house.
Kaedance loved her two weeks of Ballet Summer Camp with her friends and cousins and can't wait for the season to start again. She loves ballet! Here is a picture of her, Cora, and Katelyn. Most adorable Ballerinas!!
She also had a fun play date with one of her friends in our ward, Mallory, at a park near us. They had a great time playing in the water after us, Mommies, had to reassure them that it was ok to get wet and have fun. Thanks Mallory and Karleena, we had a blast! I love seeing her socialize more. The past few months, she has really come out of her shell with those around her.( I think a little brother helped) She'll even say hello to strangers at the store without me having to tell her to! Its so great to see! She starts PreK on Tuesday and I hope that goes well...I'm sure she is going to love it. I will post on that next week.

Landon is getting so big, way to fast. He now rolls over. This make me sad because he probably is my last baby and I want him to stay little forever. Troy loves that he is getting bigger. Landon loves to watch Kaedance and loves to laugh at her. It makes me so happy to see them interact. She really does love him! I try to take in every moment I'm with him. When Kaedance was this age, I worked Full Time, and I know I missed out on some of this stuff, so I'm soaking it all up with my boy! Landon is already a major flirt with the ladies! He loves girls!
Here are some pics of him in his Big Boy High Chair and swinging at the park (he loved it) :)

Not much new with me, still trying to lose the baby weight. I only have 3 pounds to be at where I was at the beginning, but would like to lose 20 total. I've been trying to watch what I eat and I've actually been working out! Yesterday, I bought a Jogging Stroller (on Craigslist for $40 almost brand new, saved me $60, and helped the mommy who needed to sell it....I love bargains & Craigslist!) so while Kaedie's at school, Landon and me can go on a jog at the park. In October, I really plan to find me a part-time job in esthetics so I can utilize my education and keep up my skills. Keep me in your prayers that I find one!

Troy is good. Working hard everyday for our family. He took me on a date this past Saturday. It was fun. We went to dinner and saw Dark Knight, we both loved it! Thanks again Seana and Jay for watching our kids so we could have a night out! We need to make that a habit of taking turns. :)

We are all still so sad about Bouzer and trying to adjust life without him here. This week Flash seems to not be so depressed and we've been trying to keep him busy and active. Kaedance loves to play with him...they are cute togather. Flash is obsessed with Landon. He would kiss him all day if I let him. It's cute! No word on how Bouzer is, but I know he is being taken care of. He is in our family prayer every night. Thanks for all of your comments about the situation. It's been difficult...so we've appreciated all your support!

Here are some pictures over the last few weeks. I promise to be a better blogger.
P.S. I've been obsessed with money saving blogs lately and have links to some of my favs. Check them out. I know I love when I can save money on anything! :)

New Background...yet no new post

I can't sleep...so I decided to update my blog background. Do you like it? I thought it was cute and different. I would and should being posting but my camera is downstairs and it's already past midnight. I promise to post soon! Just tired, yet can't sleep, and to lazy to download all my pics. I promise to update soon! I guess I should shut down my PC and try to get some Zzzz's.

Bouzer Boy is gone...

This afternoon, the "Bassett Lady", what Kaedie calls her, came and met with us to discuss more in person about Bouzer. After speaking with her for an hour and explaining Bouzer's history, she thinks his aggression mostly lies on the fact that when he was born, he had some "manly" issues that probably gave him an over abundance of Testosterone. Anyways, long story short, after much heart ache and a lot of nights this past week full of tears, she agreed that Bouzer is to much of a threat in our home. The "what ifs" is to much to live with and she thinks that he will do great in a home that he can be the only dog. She is going to stay in touch with us and was so awesome to explain this to us from her professional opinion and assured us that we are making the right choice even though it's so hard to do. :(

It will take some time to heal all of us, including Flash, who loved his big brother. We were all crying when he left! My hope is that who ever adopts him will love him just like we do! He will be greatly missed but I know we needed to do this for our family and his own sake. She explained it that it's not a behavior problem that could ever be fixed with training or medicine. Which made Troy and I feel better. She is going to keep in touch with me, so I will keep you all updated on him. Thanks for all your comments and support during this hard time for us.

Bouzer, We'll always love you and miss you! You are our buddy!

Bouzer Boy

Some of you may know that we have two Bassetts, Bouzer and Flash. We love them both to death. They can get on my nerves alot, but mostly, I love them! :)

Well, for the last 6-9 months, Bouzer has been attacking Flash at random times and for no apparent reason. We have tried to do different things to get this to stop, even having Bouzer on Doggie Anti-Depressants, but it still is happening. My fear is that when Landon starts to become mobile, he may get in the middle of their fights. This scares the crap out of me! There have been a couple of times when they fought right next to Kaedance. It's really scary to watch two dogs go at each other! A couple of months ago, he attacked Flash and almost caused him to have surgery on his ear. Luckily, the Vet treated him with heavy antibiotics and Troy and I kept it really clean. I really hate to get rid of him because Troy and Kaedance are both so attached to him and he is part of our family, but I feel like there is no other option. Even the Vet that has been helping us with him agrees. It just breaks my heart! But we can't afford huge Vet bills, Doggie Training, and the thought of one of the kids getting hurt!

I have been trying to get a hold of a lady here in Vegas that rescues Bassetts and places them in good homes to people that have been checked out thoroughly but have been unable to contact her. So he is still here and back on his medicine. I guess I'm posting this to ask any of you for your suggestions or thoughts and if you think I'm a bad person to let him go?

Kaedance and Ballet Summer Camp

This week, Kaedance is doing a summer camp at her ballet studio. At first, I wasn't going to sign her up because all her dance stuff gets to be expensive, but she heard all the other girls talk about it and I thought it would be good to prepare her for PreK coming up soon.

She had a blast! They danced, colored pictures, read stories, and had lunch. It really wore her out though. It was a nice 3 hour break for me too! I was able to hang out with one of my fav people, Seana and my handsome baby boy.

She goes again tomorrow and twice again next week. I still can't get over how big she is and that she will be in school this time next year! Crazy how fast it goes by!

I will try to psot some pictures of her there next week!

Landon and his Big Boy Food

Landon has been on solids for a couple weeks now and for the most part, I think he enjoys them.

He is so stinking cute and getting so big so fast. The other day, we took the kids down to our little park and he was watching Kaedance run around and he burst out laughing at her! It was soooo adorable! She loves that he is more interactive and I love watching them together! It's the best!

Here is a pic of him eating his "Big Boy Food". Yummy!

Maegan & Brian... Forever & Ever

One of my BFF's was sealed to her husband this past weekend in the Mt. Timp Temple. She was one of my Bridesmaid at our wedding and I was her Matron of Honor at her wedding 6 years ago (next month). They are an amazing couple that have been through a lot, but always stick together. They're such inspirations to us!
I was so devastated when I came down with Strep so close to their big day. That's why on Thursday, I made Troy take me to the Quickcare so I could get on an antibiotic...there was no way I was going to miss their day. They are such amazing friends of Troy and I and we are so blessed to have them in our life's! It was an awesome day....in my favorite temple!

Congrats guys...we love you!

Papa's Visit

After Kaedance's recital, my dad decided to stay with us to spend time with his Vegas Grand kids. First of all, I truly feel I have the best Daddy in the world and my kids have the best Papa in the world! Of course I'm partial. :) None the less, we had a blast with him here. He was so good to help me with the kids and my housework. I was even more grateful that he was here when I came down with Strep. I didn't get many pics when he was here, stupid me, I did get a few that I will post.

We enjoyed going to the Silverton, out for ice cream, going to the library, park, and just enjoying him being here in our home. Kaedance is a huge Papa's girl. My parents have 5 Grandsons and just one Granddaughter, so needless to say, Kaedance is spoiled by them, especially by my dad. He got her the cutest pink guitar for her Bday the he picked out himself. He was so proud to give it to her. She loves it! Landon loved talking to his Papa and he was a great help to me with him. It is so cute to see my dad with the little babies, he loves them so much!

Our Papa is home now, but we already miss him a ton! It was so great to have him around and spend those couple of weeks with us. We love you Papa! Thanks for everything!
