My new nephew...Drayson

On April 20th, my sister-in-law, Chelsie, gave birth to their little boy Drayson, exactley one month apart from Landon. He was about 3 weeks early. He weighed 4lbs. 8 oz. I though Landon was small at 6lb. 60z. He is doing well and is still in the hospital. Hopefully he will be coming home soon. She sent me a picture on my cell tonight of him smiling...so freaking cute! I can't wait to kiss him! So excited for him and Landon to grow up and be buddies.

I'm so happy for Nick and Chels and I know that they will be awesome parents. Nick has already told me how much he is in love with his son! It's so weird to think of my own little brother being a daddy! I love it! Congrats!

Please keep Drayson in your prayers until he comes home!

Happy 9th Birthday!

Tomorrow is my nephew Hunter's 9th birthday! (on the right)I can't believe that he is already nine! It seems like yesterday he was born. It's also my nephew Adrian's 10th birthday, he is celebrating in heaven. I want them both to know how much I love them and hope they have a great day!

Losing weight

So with this pregnancy, I was much more aware of my weight gain and I only gained one pound more than my goal. So far, I have lost a big portion of it. This week I have my 6 week post partum visit and plan to hit the ground hard with exercise and really watching what I eat. I really want to be a certain weight and feel confident and happy with my body, but mostly, I want to be able to show my kids a healthy example of good foods to eat and fun ways to stay active.

If any one has any suggestions or input for me, please comment! I love to have advice and tips. I will keep you all posted on how my journey goes and when I meet my goal weight!!

Life with two....

So life has officially and forever changed now that Landon is here. Kaedance is finally adjusting to him and loves to talk to him. She is starting to interact with him more and I hope to get a picture of them together soon. It's just a matter of convincing her of it. I think the adjustment from one to two has been a little challenging. I'm glad I waited till Kaedance was a little older and can help me put with things. She is able to grasp that Landon requires a little more attention and she is great with that. I really try to make time each day for her and do what she wants to do. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day and an extra set of hands for us mommies. For the most part, having two is awesome! Landon is a great baby. He sleeps good, eats good, and loves for me to hold him.
I went out yesterday with my sister-in-law, for some much needed escape, and when I returned home, Kaedance was so excited to see me and even Landon, when he heard my voice, wanted his mommy! How sweet is that! I feel so lucky to have spent the last almost 3 years with Kaedance at home. Seeing her grow and mature, now I get that with my little man!
Troy is awesome! He works so hard to provide the best life for us. He loves that I'm at home with the kids and is so great to let me nap when he gets home. He is enjoying the two of them so much. The bond that Kaedie has with him is so sweet. There is nothing like a Daddy's girl, coming from one!

Pictures of Landon and Kaedance

Updates on the past 3 weeks

So most of you know that Landon Kaleb made his debut to this world on March 20, 2008 at 3:55 pm. He weighed 6lb. 6 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches. So adorable!! My labor was a little longer that what I thought it would have been given I had Kaedance in 3 hours. I was induced at 8:30am and he was born at 3:55. He is such a sweet baby! From day one, he has slept good at night and is very alert during the day. It is a change to have a boy and be a mom to two! It's like most woman have told me that there is so much love for both kids when you have a second. It was such a blessing to have my parents here for the first two weeks. They kept up on all my house work, cooked, entertained Kaedance, and loved on Landon. They are the best!! I love them!! Thanks Mommy and Daddy.

Kaedance has seemed to adjust to what I expected. She loves Landon and is always asking about him. At first, she didn't want to kiss or touch him. Since then, she has started to kiss him but has not held him. I'm letting her go at her own pace with that. She is understanding of his needs and is helpful to get me diapers, onesies, and loves to help make his bottle. She is doing better each day adjusting to life as a big sister!

We had a nice quite Easter with my parents and Landon. Kaedance, Troy, and my Dad went to church then we had a nice dinner. Kaedance got spoiled by my parents and the Easter bunny. She looked so cute in her dress. She is such a girl! She loves all girls stuff!

Thanks to all my friends and family for all you have done these past weeks. I'm feeing great and can;t wait to get the OK from my OB to start to work out and get into shape. I feel so blessed to have my little guy here, healthy and happy.

I promise to update my blog more often! I enjoy reading all my friends and families too! So keep posting!
