Halloween 2011

We celebrated our first Halloween in Utah. The weather was really nice. We went around the neighborhood and to our Great Grandparents houses too!

Kaedance was Alice in Wonderland and Landon was the White Rabbit. So cute! They had fun going around with their cousin Drayson aka Optimus Prime Transformer. We enjoyed pizza in the shape of pumpkins one that was Dracula. Their bags are filled with plenty of treats and we all enjoyed a great Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch

This week, we were so lucky to spend the day with our good friends and enjoy Pumpkinland. A place I went to as a child on field trips this time of year. Kaedance and Landon loved all the pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. Mommy enjoyed the warm sunshine and catching up with one of my best friends since we were in Kindergarten.

They enjoyed all the activities for kids and loved being with friends. The weather was so gorgeous and we are holding on to days like these cause soon the dreaded cold will be here :)

Fall is so pretty here. The changing colors of the trees, the crisp air, and warm soup. It's something I've missed in Vegas... Fall that lasts a month or two.

School Carnival

This past week, Kaedance's Elementary school held their annual PTA Carnival. The kids loved it! We were excited to have our cousin Drayson and Grandma Hunter go too.
The kids loved the face painting, games, food, and prizes. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon and support Kaedie's new school here.

Dinosaurs and Friends

After we settled in from our move to Utah and Kaedance began school, I thought it was time to spend some one on one with my favorite little guy and go to the Dinosaur Museum. We meet up with a dear friend of mine that I grew up with and her cute little guy that is just a few months younger than Landon. We enjoyed the afternoon watching the two be so excited as they explored the muesum. By far Landon's favorite was the "star room". He insisted on walking through it twice.

What a great day to spend with friends and having some Mommy and Lando time :)

Kaedance's First Day of Second Grade!

Kaedance went back to school last week! She is in the second grade and is so far, loving it! Her teacher seems to be super fun and cute. Kaedance was alittle shy the first day and missing her classmates and school in Las Vegas, but has now made some new friends and is excited every morning to go to school.

We are so proud of her strength and courage! She is so smart and so excited to be in 2nd grade.

We live in Utah!

In the middle of August, we said our goodbyes to Vegas and moved to Utah. We have been so blessed to have called Las Vegas, Nevada home for almost 10 years. We will always hold dear so many friends, family members, ward families, memories, experiences, and so many special firsts for our family there including the births of our sweet kids. We won't ever forget all the good Las Vegas gave us!

We look forward to the adventures, friends, experiences, and memories that Utah holds for us all. Thank you to all those that helped see our move happen! We are so blessed to have amazing family and friends in our lives. Here's to our future in Utah!

Kaedance Turned 7 on July 27th!

Wow! 7 years old...that's a big deal! :)

Kaedance spent her birthday with her choice of breakfast, presents from Mommy and Landon, seeing Winnie The Pooh with her BFFs, having a family party with her cousins that share July/August birthdays, dinner of her choice with Dad, and being spoiled with birthday wishes from so many loved ones!

She was blessed with awesome gifts that included a pink DS system from Gma and Papa Hunter, DS games, Mulan Dress and Mulan Barbie, Taylor Swift CD, money, and gift cards. She is one lucky girl! :)

Summer 2011

Better late then never... right?

Summer was full of sun, fun, family, friends, and changes. We spent the first part of our summer in Utah and saw lots of family and friends. Here are some of our favorite pictures during our Summer of 2011.

Landon Graduates Joyschool!

This last Thursday, Landon finished his last Joyschool day! He has loved being a part of this great group of kids and I've had a blast teaching them on my weeks. We've been so blessed to have great friends that included Landon a few months after they started the group. He has learned a lot and it's been so fun to see him grow in so many ways.

The kids had a little graduation which included them singing songs for us Mommies, wearing awesome caps, getting their "diploma's", and cookies to finish off the celebration!

Thanks to my awesome friends that included Landon and I in this Joyschool group. We look forward to next year!

Drive In Movie Night

We are lucky that Las Vegas still has a Drive-In theater. When I was growing up, I loved when my family went and had a blast going with friends as a teenager. We've been twice so far and hope to go again before it's to hot outside :) The kids always have a lots of fun and it's just a neat way to enjoy a movie and the outdoors.

Last night, the feature we saw was RIO. The kids have been dying to see it. As we waited for the sun to go down, the kids acted like crazies! :) Pictures to prove the goofiness (not sure where they get it from ;)) Landon lasted about 10 mins. in and fell asleep. Kaedance fell asleep for the last few minutes of the show. It was a cute movie and a lot of fun spending the night outside watching a movie together.

A Special Trip for A Special Cousin...

Troy and I have 6 nephews and only 1 niece between our 2 families. Avery is one year older than Kaedance. We were excited to make a short trip up to Utah this past weekend to celebrate Avery's 8th birthday and her baptism. Kaedance and Avery are really close since they are the only granddaughter, close in age, and love all things girl! They always have so much fun together. Kaedance was excited to pick out Avery's special gift and give it to her. It was a really cute CTR ring to remember her choice in being baptized a member of our church. We were so blessed to celebrate with her and love her tons!

Two Big Changes for Kaedie...

While our Aunt Rachelle was visiting, she gave Kaedie a hair cut. For awhile, Kaedance has been asking to cut her hair short. So, off went about 4 inches! It's now a cute A-line bob and Kaedie loves it! She got lots of compliments and is enjoying her new 'do.

Along with a new hair cut, she recentlty lost her 2 top front teeth! She looks adorable. The first came out after some conviencing from Mom and Dad. About a week later, the second came out while at school. She was well taken care of from the tooth fairy at our home and while visiting Grandma and Grandpa this past weekend.

Just 2 reminders of how fast she is growing!

Easter!

A few weeks behind...but we had a great Easter! It was great having my family in town for the long weekend. We did an Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard (love having a finished yard), Baskets spoils from Easter Bunny, Yummy Easter dinner, and lots of Easter candy!

The kids came a way with great finds in their baskets courtesy of the Easter Bunny & Mom and Dad. Some goodies included: Wii games, Coloring books, Tinker toys, and new Springtime PJs.

It was a great holiday spent with a great family! We took time to make sure the kids remember the meaning behind Easter. Although the candy, baskets, bunnies, and eggs are great, they're not close to the resurrection of our Savior.

Fun with Cousins!

We were super excited to have my side of the family come and visit this past weekend. We enjoyed spending time with our cousins, aunts, uncles, and our Papa Grandma!

My parents and sister stayed at the Golden Nugget the first night in town and we went to dinner there and swam in their amazing pool. (Sorry...no pics) They have this gorgeous pool that surrounds a giant salt water tank with a water slide that goes through the tank. The kids and mommy loved it! I would love to go back.

The next day was spent at the splash park! We had a great weekend and will post more about there visit and Easter next :)

Ward Easter Egg Hunt

Our ward hosted their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. The weather was cold and just after we left it started to sprinkle. The kids always enjoy hunting for eggs and reaping the rewards inside :)

Landon was the lucky one this year and found a "prize" egg. He cashed it in for a bouncy ball. He was super excited!

Easter Time is Near...

The other night, I thought it'd be fun to get in the Easter spirit and play a game and color Easter eggs as a family. The kids loved it! In our Easter Egg Color Kit had a match card game. We had fun playing it while we waited for our eggs to cool so we could dye them.

Kaedance and Landon enjoyed decorating their eggs and it was a fun night spent together and preparing for the upcoming holiday.

Kaedie's Robot

Last week, Kaedance had to build a robot for a school project. She had to use recycled materials, give her robot a function, and give an oral presentation. She did a great job on her robot and she said her presentation went well. She is growing so fast and she really enjoys first grade!

We have a backyard!!

Yard Before

This last weekend, we had landscapers come and landscape our rear yard. We've waited 2 years to do this project and it was so nice to have a crew come and do it and not have to do ourselves. They started Friday and finished Saturday. It was cool to see the progress from start to finish. It looks nice and will look nicer as the plants mature. The kids love their playhouse that Daddy built and Mommy is going to love not having so much dirt brought in the house :)

It's nice to look back there and see a backyard...not a big empty dirt lot. We hope to get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Camping at Valley of Fire

This past weekend we went camping with our family at Valley of Fire. We went to celebrate our little nephews first birthday. It was a blast! The kids love spending time together, climbing the rocks, digging in dirt, roasting marshmallows, and enjoying the outdoors. It's such a gorgeous place to visit and beside the windy night in our little tent, it was a lot of fun!

Landon the Pizza Boy

The other day, we went to a playgroup at our local CiCi's Pizza Buffet. They give tours to playgroups. It was fun and Landon loved to play with the dough, see the kitchen, and make his own pizza. He was able to share with his BFF Logan and they named the pizza "The L Pizza". Fitting, for these two. It was a fun way to spend the morning and enjoy yummy pizza... made by Landon & Logan!
