Goodbye Old Friend...Hello Gorgeous

Yesterday, I went to turn on my computer. All was well at first, but it started to freeze on me, so I shut it down. A little while later, I went to turn it back on and all it would do is reboot its self over and over. I was lost. I have not computer technical knowledge and I was freaking out not to log into my emails, bank accounts, and blogs. I called a tech to come look at it. He thought it was the hard drive but once he opened the tower, he noticed right away that the mother board was fried! Bummer! It was going to cost almost the amount of a new one then to fix the old one. So off we went to drop more money that I was not expecting, but I can't live without a computer!

For the price of a new tower plus a little more, we got a new laptop with so much more features, memory, and power, plus, it's mobile! It's awesome and I think worth the money. The biggest down part is that many of my pics are on the hard drive of the old PC and it cost another $65 to get them off. Thank goodness for my blog because many of the pics are on here, so I will just save them to this computer. Gotta love blogs! So kinda a bad way to start the weekend, but according to the tech, we got a lot of years out of the old one. So goodbye old friend. Thanks for all your hard work...you'll be missed!

That stinks. I always worry about computer problems...I would be lost without mine! I love my laptop! I'm just going to get an external hardrive JUST IN CASE. I can't take a chance of losing all the photo's I have stored on this thing.

Sorry to hear about your computer disaster. :( Did you get wireless on your new laptop so you can roam around the house and surf the net? It's great!

The best way to save your pictures is to burn them to a CD/DVD. And if you've got a new computer, you should have a DVD burner included.

Thanks! I feel so bad for her. She was really, really close to her mom.

You know I didn't even think about that, but yes... yes he does. I'm sure he will know exactly who they are.

My friend's name is Aimee Radmall. Her younger sister is Angie Radmall, and her cousins are Misty Guyman, Ryan Zumwalt and Jennylynn Zumwalt.

It's amazing how small the world really is! But not small enough... you are to far away!

We love you four so much!!!! Miss you lots!

XOXO!!!

Wow! I'm sorry to hear about your computer and the money it cost to get a new one and to get all your stuff off your old one!! That stinks! Your post totally reminded me to back up all my pictures onto a CD! I'd never done it before...and have hundreds of pics in my files! I'm sorry for your computer dying...but grateful that it reminded me to save my pictures!! Thanks!
