A Very Merry Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas!
We spent Christmas Eve with our "adopted" family and enjoyed the most yummy Enchiladas ever, watched the nativity acted out by the kids, had a special Christmas book reading, and ate lots of yummy treats. This family is amazing and we are so glad to be apart of it! It was a PJ party so the kids opened their traditional PJs to wear over. Landon was so excited for his "abonimal snow man jammies" and Kaedie got really cute snow man ones. Mommy and Daddy got some new ones too! It was neat to see everyone in their PJs. We had a gift exchange and Kaedance got from Grandma and Papa Garber the Loving Family Dollhouse and Landon got a Farm Activity Rug...both gifts were huge hits and the kids love them! We enjoyed spending the evening visiting with everyone, decorating cookies for Santa, and feeling the Joy of the holiday. I forgot my camera that night! Hate when I do that.

Christmas morning, the kids woke(after Mommy woke them) to find Santa had made a stop at our house and spoiled them! The first thing they saw was the giant castle that wasn't even expected from Santa but was loved by both of them!
Some of their favorite gifts...

Kaedance:
LaLa Loopsy Doll and cat (her favorite)
Wii Donkey Kong game
Tangled Blanket and TAG book
Case and outfit for her American Girl Doll
Lots of goodies in her stocking

Landon:
Iron Man
Chuck Play Yard Stunt Set
Thomas Train Set
Dinosaur TAG JR. book
Lots of goodies in his stocking

We spent the rest of the day enjoying our new things, playing the Wii, and being together. I made Christmas dinner and we had a perfect time with just our little family. We finished the night with our final Christmas book(our new tradition), The Birth of Jesus, some phone calls to family, and one last Christmas movie. Although we missed spending the holiday with some of our extended family, we enjoyed being together and remembering why we celebrate this special holiday. The birth of our Savior is something to celebrate and I hope my kids always remember because of him, we are greatly blessed!

Love the pictures! That castle looks so fun. It's funny that you had to wake both of your kids up because I was so close to going in and waking Aubrey up! Nick and I were standing in the loft outside her door just waiting for her to wake up. It was so funny to us! I think in a few years when our kids start waking us up at 5am, we'll be complaining! LOL!

Hey let me know when you want to hang out. You're welcome over any time, and if you're in the neighborhood, just stop by if you want to! :)
