I've been doing Grocery Smarts for a couple months now and I can't believe how much I've been saving and all the stuff I'm stocking my food storage with. It does take a little more time than just going to one store, but, I think the payoff is worth two stops. Today, Landon and I went to Albertsons (2nd picture) and then Smith's (1st picture). Here is the breakdown from
Albertsons:
Before Store Savings & Coupons: $53.66
Store Savings: $19.32
Manufacture's Coupons:$ 4.05
Total Out of Pocket: $30.29
I've done better in the past but some highlights of this trip was B1G1Free on Chips, Apples, and Gum. The cereal ended up being $1.95/box. I think that's worth it!
Smith's:
Before Store Savings & Coupons: $83.55
Store Savings: $25.11
Manufacture's Coupons: $13.55
Total Spent: $44.92 (46% Savings) I try to shoot for 50%, but this is close and include's items for Landon's Party on Saturday!
Some Highlights was their promo of certain any 10 items get $5.00 off at checkout. Salad dressing was $.99 a bottle, Johnson's Baby Lotion $2.00, Colgate toothpaste $.75 per tube, Pasta $.99 each, Potato's $1.09 box, Asparagus $1.19lb., Bread $1.44 per loaf, and Ground Meat $2.60.
This has blessed our life's and I find it fun and very rewarding when I score big on paying out less at the grocery store. The best part is to know I've been able to start and grow my food storage.
