Day Trip to Valley of Fire

We've had a few crazy fun weekends these past few weeks. A few weeks back, we had some family come to town to stay with us (Troy's brother's family). It was great to see them. They really liked our new house and we had fun visiting, kids playing, and eating out with them.

A couple weeks ago we went to the Drive In with some of our friends to see "UP". It was so fun! I love going there for multiple reasons: Cheap, bring your own food, no matter what age kids can go, and it reminds me of my childhood summers going to the drive in. Both the kids feel asleep, but Troy and I really enjoyed the movie. We also celebrated our good friend's, daughter's birthday that weekend, also so much fun.

This weekend, we were invited to go on a little Day Trip to the Valley of Fire. We drove out, had a little picnic, let the kids get dirty ( I hate that part :)), and enjoyed the beauty of nature and fun times with our great friends.

Tonight, we celebrated our dog, Flash's, 4th Birthday. Kaedance and I went to this cute Doggie Bakery near our house, and picked up some gourmet dog treats for him. He is an awesome dog that both my kids adore and we are so blessed to have him. We love you, Flash!

We are still working on getting the house painted, just a few more rooms, then we need to tackle landscaping our backyard...I hate that! I have some pics of the new house, but not all, I promise to post them soon! :)
