What a super fun weekend we had celebrating this awesome holiday. Troy had Friday off, so we spent the day at the pool with our close friends and my parents who decided to come down for the weekend. It was fun to watch the kids play in the pool with their Daddies and we had an awesome Cafe Rio lunch afterward. I was sure the pool would be packed, but we ended up being there most the time, by ourselves. Nice!
Later that night, we went to the Drive In and saw the New Ice Age Movie. Kaedance had been dying to see it. I know I said in a previous post how much I heart the drive in. With 4 adults, 2 kids(free) we spent $21 dollars. Plus, you can bring all your own snacks! I'm glad that Vegas still has one open. Yeah, it's kinda "ghetto" but, for that cheap to see a premiere movie, I don't care!
Saturday was spent preparing for a family gathering at our home for some good 'ol BBQ, Fun in the water, and some amazing fireworks from our own backyard. We are so blessed to have had our family and friends over to spend the holiday with us. We are also blessed to have a Casino not far from our home that shot off amazing fireworks that we didn't have to fight crowds to see. Thanks to everyone for making it such a great weekend! It was so nice to spend time with the people we love!
And a REALLY BIG THANKS to all the Men and Women who fight for us daily to live in this beautiful and free country!
P.S. I really need to take pictures of my parents. They were here all weekend and have no pics of them. For sure the next time I see them!

Looks like lots of fun! I love the picture of Flash- i miss that lil' guy. =) And we had one of those cakes too. YUMMY!
